STATEMENT FROM THE CANNABIS BUSINESS ASSOCIATION OF ILLINOIS

The Cannabis Business Association of Illinois applauds the General Assembly and the entire community of advocates who have worked diligently to fix the State’s lottery process and move the State of Illinois forward on awarding licenses to social equity applicants.

This vote is an important first step in fixing the State of Illinois’ broken social equity promise and growing the cannabis industry in a diverse and equitable manner.

CBAI will continue to tirelessly advocate for changes to the law that will help the industry grow, keep medical and adult-use consumers safe and expand business opportunities.
